The operational 2010 season came to an end this morning. We will be in the process of cleaning, repairing, and winterizing our equipment during the next few weeks.

We will resume testing for West Nile Virus in June of 2011. The 2010 season was the first without a positive WNV mosquito pool since we began testing in 2003.

Cooler temperature will signal the over wintering mosquitoes to forget about blood meals and start looking for nectar which they must have to build up their bodies anti-freeze in order to survive the colder temperatures of our winters.

Forecast calls for temperatures in the 70's and low 80's with lows in the 30's. There is a slight chance of an isolated shower.

Office hours are 8am to 4pm

Monday through Friday.

If you have questions or just have an interest stop in but make sure you give us a call at 1-719-580 0932 or 589-5409 to let us know you are coming so we can make sure someone is in the office.
